Florida is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Fort Myers wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. In fact Fort Myers wildlife frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Fort Myers Wildlife Tip:
What Size Of Rodent Hole Do They Need To Get In - Rodents are flexible animals that can fit in rather tiny spaces. It is because of that ability that they can sneak into your home and leave you wondering where they came in from. They obviously did not use the front door and your windows are closed so that theory is out. Rodents will most of the time come in through a hole in the wall or on the roof. The hole does not need to be as big as the rodent looks because they can get through almost anything. So when you look for holes on the wall or roof you should pay special attention to small holes.

The size of rodent hole needed depends on the type of rodent that is in your home. If it is a common gray rodent then the hole needs to be just about the size of an American quarter. Holes that small may be hard to spot for you, but to a rodent it is almost as if you are putting out the red carpet and welcoming them in. If the unwanted visitor is a Eastern Gray Rodent then the hole can be much smaller. If you want to know how small the hole can be then simply put your hand in your pocket and take out an American nickel.

Animal Control - Rooster Makes a lot of noise in Fort Myers

Randy the crazy the rooster prefers to make himself heard throughout the day, not just at dawn when roosters typically sound off. For more information, call the animal services of Fort Myers, Florida.

A noisy rooster has taken up residence behind Melbourne library, crowing frequently and loitering with fellow fowl in Wells Park. Lee County animal control says it will continue to help with domestic animal issues, but not with Florida wildlife problems.

Dubbed Randy the crazy by city park workers, he mingles freely with the park's burgeoning population of white ibis, ducks, geese and egrets. The barnyard bird appeared about six weeks ago and promptly startled library patrons with raucous "cock-a-doodle-doos" around the clock -- not just at dawn. Animal and carcass removal services in Lee County is dedicated to helping Florida and Fort Myers.

"He's like a banker's-hour type rooster. He'll crow all day. His timing is off," park maintenance worker Marvin Shag said. Library director Jeri The Animal and Wildlife Services Expert suspects Randy the crazy was abandoned.

Wildlife - Youth Hunting Initiative Planned in Florida

With sales of resident hunting licenses in Florida dropping about 9 percent over the past decade, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is launching a program in hopes of sparking the interest of junior hunters. Florida has an abundance of wildlife, and Fort Myers is no exception.

The Youth Hunting Program is designed to provide quality hunting for youth 12-17, hopefully developing a lifelong passion for the outdoors in the next generation. Although several species of wildlife roam Fort Myers, only a few, such as raccoons and Eastern Gray Squirrels and rats, are considered pest wildlife.

Florida landowners and hunting clubs are being asked to host weekend youth hunts, and volunteers are sought to teach hunting skills and oversee the hunts. The Shikar Safari Club is funding the start-up costs for the program, but additional donations will be needed. The commission hopes to train 25 volunteers to serve as huntmasters in the first year. Florida has many reptiles, and it's important to be able to identify Fort Myers snake species and mammals.

"We promise to run safe, positive, educational and mentored youth hunts and are looking for all types of year-round hunting opportunities including deer, turkey, hogs, exotics, dove, small game and waterfowl," said Alan Busenbark, the commission's hunter safety business manager, in a released statement.
