What To Do About A Trap-Shy Rat

Rats are the real nuisance that when make their way inside the house, be sure that your property is going to be damaged somehow and this is the reason we all want to get rid of them by any means. Trapping is one of the best ways to remove the rats where you are required to set a trap with bait and as the rats approach the trap to collect the foods, they get trapped after which you need to relocate them far away.

But unfortunately this idea is not going to work for long as the rats are very clever rodents and as they will get the fact, they will become trap shy and you can no longer trap them by setting the trap normally. Rather you need to follow some other tricks for this trapping idea to work out. So, follow here some useful tricks to deal with the trap shy rats.

This is a very simple trick that will trap the rats without using any cage trap. All that is needed in this process is a bucket, a spoon and some amount of peanut butter. Now put the peanut butter on the spoon handle and place it on a table such a way that the handle should rest on the air. The bucket should be placed beneath the spoon. What will happen then as any rat will run to have the butter, it will fall in the bucket underneath with the spoon.

The similar concept can be used other ways that will trap the rats for sure. This trick too requires just a bucket, a plastic bottle and some peanut butter. Put the peanut butter on the upper side of the plastic bottle and position it over the bucket somehow using stick such a way that as any rat sits over it, the bottle should start spinning. Now as the rats will approach the bottle to have peanut butter, the plastic bottle will spin and the rat will fall into the bucket.

Another way involves the uses of unset trap but in a clever way. What to do is bury the trap in sawdust, grain or in similar material within a pie pan or empty cardboard box. Bait should be placed near and above it along with the hidden trap keeping below it. Now as the rats will start approaching the bait, the traps should be set then. Finally the rats will be trapped.

So, these are the ways through which trap shy rats can be trapped cleverly and once they are trapped make sure to relocate them far away so that they can't come back again to the same place.
