Indiana is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Granger wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Granger animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local St. Joseph County Animal Control for assistance. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the St. Joseph County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. Granger Wildlife Tip:
WHY DO SKUNKS HAVE WHITE STRIPES?

Skunks are small and furry animals which are iconic for their horrendous smell. The hairs of baby skunks grow over the course of time but they are born with white stripes on their body. The stripes of skunks run from their forehead and extend till foundation of their tail. They have both thick and thin stripes and thus patterns of stripes in skunks are not very similar in all the skunks. This is the reason that two skunks will never loon the same. You can always spot the difference because of the pattern and thickness of their stripes.

Stripes are present in skunks by birth i.e., even they have not developed their vision and hearing senses completely which means that these stripes have nothing to do with development or ageing of skunks. The stripes of skunks definitely give them a personality and they can be spotted from a distance but apart from that it is believed to have following biological reference.

It is believed that all those fierce animals (which can attack on being hit unlike rabbit) are boldly coloured; badgers and wolverines might be other examples. The pungent smell released by skunks is not hidden from anyone! So it is believed that because are very good at spraying their anal gland secretions they have long stripes. Skunks not only dribble the droplets of this smell but rather secrete it in full flow! Also, their secretion can go as far as ten feet and thus there stripes indicate the flow of their defence mechanism. Mammals like badgers are bite attackers and they usually have a striped mouth. So it is believed that these stripes are for hunters to predict the source of danger. Since the stripes of skunks extend till their tail, there source of danger is their anal area.

Another reason why skunks have stripes would be the fact that stripes make them stand out! Stripes can actually warn the predator from far away about the presence of skunks and they might just want to increase the distance as the secretion of skunks can also cause temporary blindness. So stripes keep the skunks safe as everyone wants to stay away from their awful smell! It is also believed that many animals prefer to stay hungry rather than making skunks as their meal and thus they can spot them with the help of these stripes and can stay away from their attack of secretion.

There are some breeds of skunks which don't have stripes and there are some other mammals which have stripes but are not skunks. So this unique characteristic in their appearance is certainly astonishing! The erection which skunks have is enough for only five to six uses and they need another ten days to produce another supply of this secretion. Hence, these stripes are like protection cover for them because they can save their chemical for bigger attacks. Scientists say that spray is costly for skunks as they can use it as useful ammunition for other purposes! Stripes help them in saving this 'costly' weapon!
