Maryland is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional College Park wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some College Park animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

College Park Wildlife Tip:
How To Keep Coyotes Away From Your Property

Coyotes are pretty intelligent animals. They can really cause a lot of damage on property if not taken seriously. Therefore, this gives rise to the need to keep them away from private sensitive property since they can prove to be a real nuisance when given a chance, especially on livestock, like sheep. At this point, it is however important to note that, although these creatures can be such a headache, they are wild animals and killing them off would be pretty unwise and unpractical and therefore one should only try to ensure that the methods they use to keep them contained only prevents damage and is not hell bent on eliminating the poor animals.

1. Fencing.

This method is a very effective and also economical method of keeping coyotes away from one's property. However, it is advisable for one to have it in mind that coyotes can dig or even jump and thus the need to have a few inches of protection underground and also have fences that are high enough to keep them away. Fences that can be used include;

- Electric fence- this method is very effective in all aspects but it comes with a major let down which is the price. It is pretty expensive in just about all aspects, from installation, upkeep to maintenance, but in an overall sense, it is among the top best ways to keep coyotes from private property.
- Wire mesh fence- this approach is also very effective but not as much as the electric fence. Spacing of the mesh here is key and should be below six inches horizontally and four inches or lower vertically, for best results.

2. Scaring the coyotes.

Despite these animals being quite smart, cunning and wily, they have a weakness and are easily scared away by some of the following devices:

- Propane exploders- these produce an explosion sound at preset intervals, usually from one to about fifteen minutes.
- Flashing or rotating lights-these have a tendency of temporarily keeping coyotes away.
- Radios and bells- very effective in temporarily scaring away of coyotes.
- Electronic guard.

3.Trapping.
This method is rarely used and this is mainly because it rarely works and is actually against the law in some places. Trapping and releasing a creature depends on how far away from your property you release it and in the case of coyotes, it should be over a hundred miles as per an existing scientists' study's results. This doesn't seem very practical and will most often than not, prove to be in vain.

4. Killing.

This is an approach that is pretty effective too and is actually very much within the law in some places. It is however not advised since it could render the poor creatures extinct and that is not in line with nature and is also a pretty inhumane and unorthodox way of solving the coyote issue. However, an exception can be made in a few cases. The different ways of killing coyotes include;

- Shooting the animal down.
- Trapping then killing the coyotes.
- The 1080 livestock protection collar- which is strategically placed on livestock where the coyote ingests the toxin in it as it tries to attack them and gets poisoned to certain death.
