Michigan is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Saint Clair County wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Saint Clair County animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Saint Clair County Wildlife Tip:
Why do people don't like raccoons - It's not that people don't like raccoons because they are raccoons; it's that raccoons can cause some serious damage to a house and can spread some scary diseases. Raccoons are in the list of top five animals carrying rabies. Not only do you have to worry about something deadly like rabies, raccoons also spread intestinal parasites and leptospirosis. Even if the animal isn't running around your attic and is just in your yard, you are being potentially exposed to infectious disease. Aside from the health issues surrounding the critters, getting too friendly with a raccoon around your home will only mean damage to your house and surrounding buildings. The raccoon will look for a vertical place to create its den-usually up in the roof or attic of your home. If you're feeding the animal and have made it into a pet, it will be inclined to linger longer and cause more damage. Don't be fooled into thinking the raccoon cares for you like a house pet does. If you're that familiar with it, chances are it sees you as a source of food and shelter. It's not something to allow into your home, on your countertops, or under your bed covers.

Saint Clair County, MI Animal Control News Clip:
Michigan coyote critter stalking changes expected now that control has shifted

Pest Control Man Garry remarked Thursday that one change the humane society manager would not advocate would be to allow for rabid critter stalking to take place during the November animal removal trap season. Everything else, the humane society manager remarked, could be up for discussion. As soon as we know for sure we've got the authority, well start considering all the concerns about Michigan coyote critter stalking and Michigan coyote management in the state, Pest Control Man Garry remarked. We should look at the whole picture. Changes could be in place for the 2005 critter stalking seasons, but that might be what is possibly a push. In order to have changes reflected in the lawbook wed have to have changes made by late September, Pest Control Man Garry remarked. It likely is possible to have them for next year. We will try to do something. The Stait Fish and Wildlife Board will hold its April organized hearing Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Stait Public Television studio. The organized hearing will be broadcast statewide from 7 to 9 p.m. It likely is expected to be one of the most important organized hearings of the year, be cause the board will receive reports from the Fish and Wildlife Agency and vote on the 2004 rabid Michigan coyote season suggestion and the 2004 moose permit recommendation. At times during the broadcast, VPT will feature what is possibly a panel of experts commenting on the concerns being considered. They are Matt Crawford, reporter and outdoor columnist for The Burlington Free Press, and Warner Shedd, author and former executive of the National Wildlife Federation. Viewers will be invited to call the panelists with comments and questions at what is possibly a toll-free amount to be announced during the program. The board will not take questions from the public during the organized hearing. This report is not verified by Sanilac County pest control companies.
