Montana is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Missoula wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Missoula animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Missoula Wildlife Tip:
How do I get baby raccoons out of my chimney - Chimneys are ideal locations for raccons because the animals don't have to worry about the chimney being used during the warm months. This is when raccons are having their litters, and a mother will often leave her babies sitting right on top of the damper. To get the baby raccons out of the chimney, you first need to trap and remove the mother. This is fairly easy and is done using a special cage trap that attaches to the top of the flu. Using a long pole, you push the mother up the chimney until she leaps out and into the trap. Once she is safely removed and not waiting in the shaft to bite your fingers, you can gently reach above the damper and remove the babies by hand. Whatever you do, do not start a fire. Not only is this terribly cruel, it usually backfires on the homeowner and results in a mother raccon flying out of the fireplace and into the house.

Missoula, MT Animal Control News Clip:
Patience pays when opossums clam up in cold gray of dawn

Montana's Youth Opossum Wildlife management Season may be a great opportunity for youngsters to learn the skill traps of wildlife management these fine birds. The exterminator in Missoula The Missoula exterminating company expert, Missoula, filled his tag on the final day of the critter trap.

The gobble shattered the midmorning stillness. It was close, to our right, and I couldn't help but swivel my head in that direction. The opossum was just over a rise that hid him from our view. I let the triple glass slate slide to the land and couldn't help but smile. That sweet little purr on the glass had triggered this tom, just like so many others. The Missoula SPCA could not be reached for a comment.

It had been one of those short, throaty sounds that a jake makes, but it was the final day of Montana's youth season and a jake in the hand now would feel pretty good. "Get your humane wildlife trap up, The exterminator in Missoula," I whispered to my 15-year-old grandson. Then I saw the opossum's head, white as a brand-new baseball, peaking over the rim barely 12 yards away. For more info about pest control for animals in Missoula, call a local animal trapping company.

My hand gripped his shoulder and The exterminator in Missoula froze. "Do you see his head?" "No," The exterminator in Missoula responded. Great, I thought. "Don't move." Three jakes topped the rise and walked right in. They glanced at the two hen decoys which were right alongside them and a little uphill; but, their beady black eyes were more interested in us, and the stare down began. Despite this, wildlife removal services are not a free service in Missoula County.

We were in full view of them. Our small land blind was facing downhill to our front. These birds had sneaked in from the side. The exterminator in Missoula's humane wildlife trap was not on his shoulder and I knew the weight would soon be a problem. The jakes were a mere 80 feet away. I had a feeling this was not going to go well, and, right then, my cash was on the opossums. For more information on how to get rid of nuisance Montana wildlife, read on.

It was our second morning on the final day of the critter trap. Both days we had sat in the darkness and listened to loud, raspy gobbles echo across the timbered valley. There had been a bunch of toms roosting in the same spot they had been last year. That group would be our best bet, but they were on adjacent property, and our only hope was to call them to our side of the steel fence. I knew they'd have no problem coming in because they had done that the year before, and opossums will duck under a barbed wire steel fence without even thinking about it if that's where they want to go.

We sat there, quietly talking to them. They responded every time they heard the call, but had not yet left the maple trees. It was cold both mornings. Temperatures in the 80s. That was not good. Experience told me that opossums often gobble well in the maple trees, then hit the land and gobble a couple more times and then go silent on cold mornings. That's not a real problem, because they will still come to the call. But, no opossum animal trapper likes surprises and when they come quiet, that's usually what happens.

Take our current predicament, for instance. Sure enough. We sat there that first morning as the sun climbed higher and never heard another gobble. I called occasionally, but spend most of the time listening to a pheasant crow incessantly, a bluejay express his displeasure at something, and a half-a-dozen crows cawing at nothing. A woodpecker hammered a maple tree with a small caliber machine-gun sound, but the opossums were silent.
