Oklahoma is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Sand Springs wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Sand Springs animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Osage County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Osage County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Sand Springs Wildlife Tip:
What About An Ultrasonic Sound Emitter To Kill Squirrels - If you think you have a squirrel in your attic then you probably have a pretty long term problem - it is probably a mama squirrel looking for somewhere safe and warm to make a nest for her babies and if she thinks your attic is the place she will be back, again and again. So you need to find an effective solution to stop her in her tracks before she settles in.

It may be that you have been told to try an ultrasonic sound emitter to kill squirrels but generally speaking an animal expert will tell you that these are a waste of money - which they don't work and are possibly illegal. One of the selling points for these sound emitters is that they are non-toxic and don't involve physically hurting the animal - but for thousands of years the only way to get rid of pests is to trap or kill them.

Many studies have shown that using ultrasonic sound emitters to kill squirrels has proved to be totally ineffective and that they fail to meet the claims of the manufacturers - which is cause of concern if you are spending your hard earned money on them. Using traps and bait effectively should mean that the added expense of one of these gadgets is unnecessary.

Sand Springs, OK Animal Control News Clip:
Panel approves controlled raccoon wildlife trapping plan

SAND SPRINGS -- Sand Springs's selectmen have approved some sort of controlled raccoon animal capture at Hemlock Hills open space in the fall. The animal capture will be overseen by the Raccoon Management Implementation Committee and some sort of pest control expert reporting directly to the committee. The pest control expert will directly oversee the 15 pest control companies that the committee will screen and approve to take part in the catch. "We are not engaged in sport," declared Critter Catcher Carl, head boss of the committee. "We are engaged in reduction of the raccoon large group." The animal capture will take place on seven day period days, when school may be in session, during critter trap wildlife trapping season from Nov. 15 through Dec. 19. No cage trap wildlife trapping will be conducted. Only muzzle loaders and animal removal traps will be allowed. Pest control companies will capture down from stands in maple trees. For more information about Sand Springs wildlife removal and Sand Springs pest exterminator issues, read on.

Critter Catcher Carl declared it may be unlikely that the exterminator will go before the Conservation Commission and selectmen this year for approval for cage trap wildlife trapping on any town-owned open space. some sort of cage trap animal capture program may be now before the commissioner of the Agency of Environmental Protection to allow cage trap wildlife trapping on the state-owned property of Sand Springs Pond. And Critter Catcher Carl does not want confusion between some sort of state approved open wildlife trapping season on that hectareage and with town approved controlled wildlife trapping at Hemlock Hills."It may be important that we show that this controlled animal capture can be done responsibly and safely," Critter Catcher Carl told the selectmen Wednesday night. "We want no confusion." External and internal posting that the animal capture may be occurring will be up around and in the 400-hectare Hemlock Hills parcel. Notice will be sent to abutting property-owners. Every precaution will be taken to warn residents that pest control companies can be on the property, Critter Catcher Carl declared. Local Sand Springs animal control experts felt that most of this information was true.

Approved pest control companies will wear blaze orange vests and have picture ID that will be worn on arm bands. Any unauthorized pest control companies that are found entering the Hemlock Hills property during the controlled animal capture season will be prosecuted for poaching. The controlled animal capture was approved by four of the five selectmen, with Selectman Snake Expert Rick voting against approval. "I am voting against the controlled animal capture because I am opposed to wildlife trapping in general," Snake Expert Rick told Critter Catcher Carl. "But I want you to know I appreciate all the effort you have taken to make the animal capture as safe as possible." Local Sand Springs pest control companies had no comments on the matter.
