Tennessee is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Cleveland wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Cleveland animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Cleveland Wildlife Tip:
How To Get Groundhog Out From Under A Shed Or Porch

You could kill or trap or use repellants to keep Groundhog away still these critters will be back to create issues. Groundhogs are good diggers and could dig up to 5 feet inside the ground. In the winter seasons they go to hibernation and that is the period when they look for a safe place. Which will be the safest place for these beasts than under your shed or porch at the same time threatening the foundation of the structure?

People use many different ways to drive them away. Some people in the rural areas go to the extent of shooting them down to save their crops. Whereas others use body traps or poison to kill them but these actions unknowingly put them into trouble. Many people use cage traps which is a more humane way to catch these pests and relocate them. The only frustration that remains common is none of these methods could drive Groundhogs away permanently. After few days some other raids your property and you land up taking the same pain again.

The best way to get rid of these critters permanently is to catch them live, relocate and when you are sure they are no more there put up fences in proper way to keep them away. The question arises how to be sure that they are gone. These animals have a very distinct foot prints, the front claws have five fingers and the hind claws have four. Closing of the tunnels will not bother them as they are good diggers so use a crack egg or put some Castor oil inside the opening of the burrows and close all. Wait for 2 to 3 weeks and check for any new tunnels or throw some flour around the yard and keep tracking for foot prints. If you are sure that none of them left, start putting up fence around the yard. The fence should be properly done as instructed by any professional because fencing method for Groundhogs is different. These fences should be 4 to 5 feet in height and curved outwards on the top so that they are not able to climb and cross, also it should be at least 1 foot buried under the ground with a "L" shaped extension underground discouraging them to dig.

Doing these will give you a long term relief and still you could use exclusion in the fence so that in case any left they would have a way out. Now fill up the tunnels and get the damage repaired.
