Texas is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Memorial wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Memorial animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Harris County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Harris County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Memorial Wildlife Tip:
What Is A Squirrel's Mating Habits, When Do They Give Birth, And How Does It Raise Its Young?

You might have seen adult squirrels dancing on the tree branches, but have you ever observed a baby squirrel around you. Very few of you might have seen them because they never come out until they become active enough to live outdoors. You can generally find squirrels almost on every tree, yard, garden and park area; but their babies stay in the nests for several weeks after their birth. In case if you go close to squirrel nests; you may find the tiny babies sleeping inside.

The healthy development of most squirrel babies shows how well their mothers are skilled in caring for them. Squirrels generally give birth to babies twice a year; the first litter born somewhere around the month of February and April whereas second litter born between August and September. Note that squirrels do not give birth to many babies at once, they have small litters of 2 to 5 offspring at once. The babies are observed to have pink color when they are born, and they don't have hair on the skin. Same as other rodents, they are completely dependent on mothers for several weeks after taking birth. Note that the babies are raised by mother squirrel only; the male squirrels leave after the mating season. The babies need mother's milk to avail required nutrition for normal growth.

The first litter starts moving out of the nest by the month of April or May as they become strong enough to live an independent life. The second litter comes out of the nest in the later summer because in the winter season; these babies are at great risk of health issues. Note that smaller squirrel babies are not able to tolerate cold weather and they cannot even arrange food and shelter without mother's assistance. As soon as babies grow well, they also move out of the nest and start looking for their mating partner to have their own offspring. These tiny animals are born with the skills to care for their offspring, and they do this task very well. They nurse their kittens to grow well by proving them enough food and warmth. Mother squirrels also make efforts to protect babies from predators. That is why they most of the time prefer to create nests in human habitats as it appears the safest place for their growth. Moreover, they can also collect enough food from yards and gardens around.

In case if you find a squirrel baby fallen on the ground without mother; it is important to be careful. First of all, you should observe the baby for some time that if mother squirrel comes to care for the baby. But in case if no one comes, there are chances that it is an orphans baby and need your help. In such situation, you should take help from wildlife rehab centers in your city. They know right techniques and procedures to handle the situation.
