the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Redding animals

Redding Wildlife Tip:
Gray squirrel trapped in ceiling of house - A person needs to be very careful if a person really do have a gray squirrel trapped in the ceiling of house. Sometimes homeowners make the mistake of thinking a gray squirrel is gone and then closing up the damaged area of the roof. This will result with a trapped critter that is determined to tear its way back outside. A trapped gray squirrel can cause a lot of damage and poses a bite risk to anyone who gets too close. If this is the situation a you've found the homeowner's self in, a person can either go back up on the roof to open up what a you've just repaired, or a person can call in a professional to go into the ceiling of house and use a snare pole to retrieve the panicked adult. Either way, a person need to find a way to calm the critter before it creates another hole in the exterior of the homeowner's home. If a person have to let the gray squirrel out, give it a few days before the homeowner's try to trap it the correct way. Most gray squirrels in an ceiling of house are females with a litter of kits. Chances are the gray squirrel will return. If luck is on the homeowner's side, a person may have freaked her out enough that she decides to more her litter, but that's not very likely.
Redding, CA Animal Control News Clip:
Eastern Gray Squirrel - Often termed as a 'gem of a tree', Eastern Grey Squirrel is one of the most scantily distributed species of squirrels, all around the globe. This particular squirrel is widely and quite aptly present in most part of North America. Although, you might find a few of these in certain parts of England, Russia etc, Arizona, USA and Eastern region of Canada are home to large numbers of Eastern Gray Squirrel.
Appearance - The Eastern Gray Squirrel, as the name advocates, is by large gray in color. The most appealing part of it is the whitish, velvety tummy. This squirrel also has a quite noticeable nose, and eyes as wide as pond. The ears are exceedingly elongated. Despite the extra length, they lack the fluffy aspect in them. The front tooth, as with almost all squirrels, is a long one and one of the most celebrated characteristic of the Eastern Gray Squirrel. The overall body length is on smaller side as well, typically ranging from 15 to 19 cm.
Biology - This particular variation of species belongs to mammalian class of animals. The Genus is thought to be a single one, namely Scuiridae. Although there might be different phylums associated with it, the order of Eastern Gray Squirrel is agreed to be Rodantia. The breeding of them is somewhat mild in nature, and hence limited amount of population in all the parts of the globe.
Lifecycle - Like all other squirrels, their life span is a matter of quite a few factors. The most basic one being the behavior and the lifestyle of the individual Eastern Gray Squirrel (we shall be looking into this in detail in 'behavior' Para.) Those living in incarceration without any vigorous activity are expected to live longer, about 19-21 years. However, those squirrels which chose to live in open, chasing, and escaping from predators naturally live a much shorter life- precisely 10-13 years. Their reproduction lasts two 'sessions' a year. They are often considered to be bad at finding apt mates.
Habitat - Eastern Gray Squirrels are found in abundance in woodlands of North America. The most prerequisite factor for a forest to be a habitat of them has got to be the real concentration of thick vegetation. This not only ensures their means of survival by providing enough feeding material but also make sure that they act as means of protection from their predators. Mangrove forests too attract the Eastern Gray Squirrels, particularly in areas away from the Northern regions. Some also go on to live in the unoccupied nests of the birds.
Diet - Eastern Gray Squirrel is regarded as relatively large consumers of food as compared to other North American species of the squirrels. Their diet mainly consists of what a typical omnivore would consume. Nuts, insects, bird eggs, acorns and all such stuff make a good diet for a typical Eastern Gray Squirrel. They find their diet with much ease provided they are inhabited the proper habitat. Behavior - It is a kind of introverted animal, which is one reason they are not as good at mating as some other kinds of squirrels. Some of these prefer to live in cavity while some go on to thrill the wild life. Most of their lifespan revolves around feeding. They are less retiring when it comes to split their food with other squirrels.
