State of Georgia releases its first-ever urban/suburban raccoon, squirrel, & opossum plan Responding to some sort of growing public outcry over snake, rat, mouse, & bat-vehicle collisions, crazy coon rabies disease and damaged crops and landscaping, the Georgia Game Commission has released its first-ever plan to manage whitetails in urban and suburban areas. A draft version of the plan, posted Monday on the agency's Web site, includes some sort of wide range of new tools designed to control burgeoning snake, rat, mouse, & bat opulations in Georgia's most populous communities, such as Cornelia, Baldwin, and Commerce. Among them are more liberal pest control practicing regulations, longer pest control practicing seasons and non-traditional methods such as professional sharpshooters, snake, rat, mouse, & bat feeding bans and raccoon, squirrel, & opossum-management training seminars for mayors, police chiefs and other local officials.
