Mississippi is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Pascagoula wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Pascagoula animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Pascagoula Wildlife Tip:
Should I Feed A Baby Raccoon I Found?

You are moving through a wooden stroll and find a baby raccoon wondering alone in the day hours. There can be so many reasons behind his condition. Generally, the mother raccoon takes care of babies for few months after a bird of babies. In first two months, babies cannot move out independently; mother raccoon brings their food to the nest and also protect them from predators. Once the babies start walking; they accompany mother raccoons for the food visits and learn tricks to hunt. But in the meanwhile, if the mother raccoon gets trapped or died, the babies may start facing troubles for survival.

Now if you find a baby raccoon in your premises; there are chances that it is separated from mother. No matter why the mother has left it alone; if it has spent several hours alone, the baby must be hungry now. Even if you call wildlife rehabilitators to take the baby away for proper care; they will take much time to come. In this duration, you may have to feed the baby to protect its life. But before you do anything like that, it is important to understand that it can be harmful to touch the raccoon directly with bare hands. Actually, these animals carry lots of terrible disease viruses that can get transferred to humans with direct skin to skin contact; especially if the baby is already injured or ill. So, you need to be very careful while feeding this tiny innocent face animal.

First of all, wear the gloves and check if the baby is safe from any injury. In case if the baby is attacked by other animals and it has faced some several injuries; it is better to take help immediately from wildlife care department. But when the baby is alright and just need some help from you to get its food, you can feed him normally. In case if the baby is less than 5 weeks old, they must be heated properly because they do not have fur to provide natural heat to their body. Use a towel to wrap the animal and use a heating pad at low temperature to raise its body temperature to the desired level. If the baby stays so long in the cold, it can die. Once the body temperature reaches up to 101-103 degrees Fahrenheit; you can start feeding them. There are chances that baby raccoon is feeling dehydrated because these animals need much water to survive. In such situations, you can mix one tablespoon of sugar into the boiled water along with small amount of salt and feed it to the baby to recover the symptoms of dehydration.

Once the baby is hydrated and feeling warm; you can feed the baby with kitten replacement milk. This milk is available in powder form so you may have to add some water to make it liquid. The tiny babies must be fed with bottles for few days. Note that if babies do not get enough food time to time; they may die a painful life.
