Contest to pest exterminate common predator upsets some in Bismarck Burleigh County. In the greater Bismarck area, most residents' only knowledge of foxes may be the occasional sound of their yips and howls on clear nights. But in Bismarck Burleigh County, where local exterminating companies have fanned out through the woods to pest exterminate as many of the predators as possible for a in the dollar quantity of 2,000 prize, foxes are a hot topic.

So hot, in fact, that one vocal opponent of the Honeoye fox derby awoke last year to find what he took to be a bloody message in his front yard.
