Oklahoma is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Bartlesville wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Bartlesville animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Bartlesville Wildlife Tip:
How Do Bats Communicate?

Like us all birds and animals use some communication to communicate with each other. The communication may be verbal or non-verbal. They use it to look for food, for mating purposes, to raise alarm in case of dangerous situations or as distress signals. The type of communication differs for every species. Likewise bats also have their way to communicate with each other and this is done through Echolation.

The use of ultra-high frequency sounds to navigate and locate its prey is known is Echolation. Bats use Echolation to "see", the returning echoes gives them a sort of "image" of some parts of the surroundings. These echoes should be loud enough so that it returns to the bats and short enough so that the echo of the bat returns back to them before it can emit the next one.

There are hundreds of species of bats and they use different patterns of frequencies. Usually, bats communicate through songs, chirps and screeches produced at frequencies so high that they are inaudible to human ears.

Mostly bats echo through their mouth but some bats also tend to use their nose to make this high frequency sounds. These sounds bounce back to the bats and if there are any insects or objects like branches are picked up by the sensitive ears of the bat. Bats use these echoes to see doesn't mean that they cannot see, it is just that they depend on Echolation system to navigate and look for food. Moreover it is difficult for anyone to see at night. Each echo is emitted at the rate of 200 pulse per second enabling them to avoid hindrances as thin as a thread, capture their prey and recognize the size of objects.

Studies show that bats call dibs on the insects they are about to eat. They emit special sound called the Frequency Modulated Bout (FMB) which lets the other bats flying nearby that they have claimed a certain insect; it is a way of saying stay away. Seemingly the studies show that this sound was produced exclusively by male bats while female bats did not produce such sounds. It reveals a more civilized side of the bats.

When it comes to mating, the male bats "sing" bat calls in order to attract females. Although the sounds emitted are of high frequency but the syllables of their calls are long and soothing to the ears of the females. The tones of the echoes produced are much different when it comes to communicating with same-sex bats. Males mark their territories using more aggressive and fierce tones to keep other males at bay. The same could be said for females also. They can easily detect the sex of other bats from the sounds they produce. Whether they communicate with their young, their mates or their predators every bat has different styles of emitting sounds for different situations.
