Texas is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Houston wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. In fact Houston wildlife frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Houston Wildlife Tip:
How to get rid of rats -How to get rid of rats is a popular question when people discover their home has been taken over by rodents. Rats are trapped and removed much in the same way mice area; however, rats do require larger traps and more costly home repairs. The first and most important step in rat removal is to find the rat holes in the outside of your home. A rat needs to get inside from outside, so somewhere there is a hole that has allowed the rodents to get in. This hole can be at any level, and can be in any part of the home. Holes can be through damaged siding, loose vents, or even open drains. When the holes have been found and sealed, you can decide where to best set up the rat traps. Trapping is the best way to get rid of a rat. Nuisance animals that are used to living near people will not survive in a relocation situation. Problem rats need to be lethally trapped. Snap traps are the most effective traps on the market. They are inexpensive and can be reused. Bait your snappers with peanut butter and place them in areas where rat droppings have been noted. Rats return to the same routes time and time again, so droppings or other signs of activity are good indications of where to set the trap.

Texas Pests - Texas armadillo and rat trapping just what the doctor ordered

A local Houston Pest Control company has added armadillo trapping services to its bag of tricks. In addition, the wild critter company specialist provides plenty of food for the rat and mouse by planting corn, oats and other rat and mouse favorites. On his 100 acres, there are seven food plots totaling 17 acres. Last year, which was only the second season the farm was controlled, the wild critter company specialist trapped a state record armadillo, which refers to the total inches of its shell. Anything over 15 inches is considered a trophy anywhere in Harris Country. Most local owners of pest control companies in Houston, Texas weren't sure what to make of all this. A League City Animal Control company was contacted, along with a League City Texas pest control group and a Pearland Wildlife Trapping Company, but none had comment.

"It is a science," The wild critter company specialist said of rat and mouse management. He keeps data on his property's rat and mouse and takes the jawbones out of all the rodents that are killed so a state wildlife biologist can determine their ages. "Over the next couple of years, the picture will start coming into focus." The main thing for a wild animal trapper, who grew up in South Texas doing more fishing than anything else and didn't get seriously into rat and mouse exterminating until he attended Houston University in Texas, is for his guests to have fun. Houston pest control is mostly armadillo extermination, but only a few Texas companies deal with wild animals. Sugar Land pest control and Friendswood animal services agreed.

With all the rat and mouse running around his farm, and knowing that you could have a shot at a huge male rodent at any moment, exterminating there is a blast. You can also shoot a doe, as Texas City's rat and mouse management assistance program allows for 14 does to be killed on a wild animal trapper's farm this season. The Harris County Pest Control board of Houston exterminators could not be reached for comment.
