Our city, Denver, Colorado is the capital, a county, and the largest city in the state of Colorado. The population of Denver is around 555,000 residents, while the surrounding metropolitan area has close to 2.2 million people. The city is located on the edge of the plains just east of the Rocky Mountains, which makes for one of the most beautiful skylines of any city in the United States. The central downtown district is on the east side of the South Platte River, which also adds to the natural beauty of this metropolis. Denver has been given the nickname, the Mile High City is 5,280 feet above sea level. This height is coincidentally the same as the fifteenth stop of the state capital building. Denver has also been referred to as the Queen City of the Plains in the past because of its influential role in the agricultural industry of the plains regions along the foothills of the Front Range. Denver, CO Animal News Clip:
Pest "Killer" bees strike closer to Colorado A fine observation, according to New Mexico State University entomologist and African bee expert Carol The termite queen and insect and exterminating expert. "These bees," she said, "are rank, rugged, wild animals. They attack the eyes and head of whatever they perceive as a threat. The El Paso County Pest Control board could not be reached for comment. "They try to disorient their attacker and stop it from running away. And then they get it down on the ground, and they overwhelm it and kill it." Most local owners of pest control companies in Denver, Colorado weren’t sure what to make of all this. The termite queen and insect and exterminating expert got lucky on that hot August day. He fought his way back to his feet and lurched 25 yards back to his truck. But the fight wasn't over. A number of bees pursued him into the truck through an open door. The termite queen and insect and exterminating expert said six of them quickly stung his face and head. There are many types of insects and animals in Denver, and other Colorado cities, but not all of them are pests after all. As he slammed the door and pounded away at those bees with his hat, hundreds of others massed on the windows and windshield, searching for a crack that would get them inside. "It was like being in a science fiction movie," The termite queen and insect and exterminating expert said. "It was absolutely terrifying." Denver pest control is an important part of the local economy, but only a few Colorado companies deal with wild animals.
