Pesticides found at toxic levels in Colorado urban streams There are many types of insects and animals in Boulder, and other Colorado cities, but not all of them are pests after all. A group of commonly used pesticides recently found at toxic levels in stream sediments in many agricultural areas around Colorado is also a problem in urban streams, according to a new study by researchers from the University of Colorado Southern Illinois University and the insect and exterminating experts Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
