Canada is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I
recommend professional Mississauga wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house
and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct
preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the
the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Mississauga animals
frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Ontario County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Ontario County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Mississauga Wildlife Tip:
What is a bat's mating habits?
Bats live in very large colonies which are predominantly females and therefore it's never difficulty for a male to find a mate partner. Most times, the males and females stay separately but during the mating season, it's not difficult to find them together. A good number of females will form maternity colonies once they get pregnant and thrive well during this period. The breeding season for bats is normally between the spring and summer due to the nice temperatures considering they are mammals. It is also considered the perfect timing as food supply is always in plenty.
In addition, the female bats are able to manipulate the time of their pregnancy and the birth of a young one as well. The gestation period for a bat is approximately forty days to six months though the female can delay the egg implantation period by storing the sperm in the reproductive tract. This normally happens when there is shortage of nutrients to help sustain the pregnancy. Interestingly, the female bat is able to give birth up to three pups and basically one pup at a time in a single breeding season.
The baby bats are normally born large and therefore the procedure of taking care of the pups can be tasking for the mother bat. The pups are born blind without hair and will cling to the mother's underbelly. This means there has to be an abundant supply of food as the mother bat flies around with the baby. The young pups depend on the mother for survival and they usually feed on the mother's milk during the first few weeks of life. The pups are born without wings though they develop at around two months of age ready to begin to search for their own food.
The female bats have a lot of responsibility in taking care of the little pups especially searching food for them and they therefore don't get considerable time to spend with the young ones. The young pups are entirely dependent on the mothers until the age of approximately four months old when they can fend for themselves. This is the main reason that makes the female bats reproduce several times during one single season. The mother's belly provides a comfort zone for sleep, eat and warmth for the young pups.
It is important to note that the reproduction procedure of bats is perplexing even to experts due to the fact that the females can be able to manipulate their pregnancy time and the time of birth. The reproduction process entirely depends on the availability of food and the right external conditions which should be favourable to them. These are some of the factors that ensure the survival of bats in the environment.
One would want to know what happens to the male bats after mating. Once the mating season is done, the male bats will go away and hang upside down in their habitation on a tree or a building until the next mating season again.
