Georgia is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Bainbridge wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Bainbridge animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Bainbridge Wildlife Tip:
What Should I Do If I Find A Nest Of Raccoons In The Attic?

Getting raccoons out if the attic is not an easy task. There is often a case that a female raccoon has given birth to a litter of babies and find the attic as a safe place for their growth and survival making them persist with the place. Here are some steps which will help you to deal with raccoons who are staying in the attic.

Catch hold of the baby raccoons. Almost every time when you see that a raccoon has invaded your house it is to give birth to its young ones. If you cannot locate them, stay still for some time until you hear them chatter and determine their hiding place. You will find the litter in between 3-5 in number, and it is essential that you find and remove the babies and put them in a cage to set it up as a bait for the mother. Almost every time that mother raccoon will walk into the cage and you will be able to successfully kill two birds with one stone! Remember to be cautious because if the mother raccoon is nearby when you are catching the babies, she may attack.

Catch the mother raccoon. Use a live cage trap and trap the mother raccoon by itself. Setup the cage with baits such as bread crumbs or marshmallows and the place so that the raccoon feels free to explore the cage. As soon as she steps in, the trap door is triggered and the door is slammed shut trapping it in.

Use an eviction fluid. A raccoon eviction fluid is commercially available and is made from the urine glands of a male raccoon, so a female raccoon on sensing the smell will always be wary of a fellow rival who can kill her babies and will look for better options to stay and will move out of the attic. Other types of eviction fluids which can be made at home using a base of either cayenne pepper or tobacco as these ingredients set off an irritation in the nasal cavity of a raccoon and when it becomes unbearable they stay away.

Always ensure that after you trap the raccoons you take them to a wildlife center so that the babies can be nurtured before being set free in the wild.

Disinfect the place thoroughly using vacuum cleaners and atomizing mist machines to rid of any animal refuse and its odor so that no traces of stay can be visible. Also make sure to repair or seal off any potential entry/exit points which the raccoons have made use of to gain access to the attic in order to prevent future encroachments, you are all set and can have that good night's sleep again!
