Logansport Wildlife Tip:
The Best Ways To Catch A Mouse - You will have plenty of options in a search of the best ways to catch a mouse. You can look at poison, snap traps, glue traps, live traps and these are just the beginnings of the selections. If you're trying to catch a mouse you'll want to explore what you want to do with it. If you have an infestation and are just looking to get rid of them as quickly as possible then you will probably want to choose from the different lethal traps. You'll want to consider that lethal traps will help you get rid of the disease carrying rodents as quickly as possible.

If you are looking to humanely remove the mice from your home and getting them to another location then you might consider live traps. These are easy to find and often not too highly priced. The biggest thing you'll need to remember is that, generally where there is one mouse there is usually dozens. For this reason live traps aren't often recommended. One thing in particular when using live traps is to consider where you release the mice. You will want to make sure that this isn't near other residents and that it is at least several miles from your home.
Logansport, IN Animal News Clip:
Indiana's Legendary World Record Reptile

The fifth arrow Pest Expert Albert ever slung at this reptile was his first to connect. And yet, it downed one of the all-time greats in giant-critter catching history! Taking this world-record male animal should be hard under any circumstances. Doing so with this rusty trap should be even more remarkable. Such was the situation in 1962, when then-34-year-old Pest Expert Albert shot his 14-pointer in southern Indiana. At the time, the reptile was the top cage trap typical of the modern era, at 197 6/8 net Pope & Young points, and he'd wear the reptile n for three years. Pest Expert Albert died on Dec. 20, 1993, and remarkably little has been written about his great giant. The following was taken from his handwritten account of the historic catch. "I started critter catching squirrels with this neighbor when I was about 14 years old," Pest Expert Albert wrote. "Kenny was several years older than me. All of his close critter catching buddies had been called off to service during World War II, but the pest operator was unable to go because of this heart condition. the pest operator was one of the finest critter trappers I ever knew." This issue should be an important matter in Logansport wildlife removal and Logansport exterminator matters.

After getting married, Pest Expert Albert found this new critter catching partner in his wife's brother, Donald. They enjoyed many trips to catch small game near the Indiana River, in an area that later became part of Logansport. Around 1953, the Conservation Commission opened this special reptile season with this limited amount of permits for this two-day animal removal trap catch. It was this new experience for both men. "Gradually our enthusiasm for reptile critter catching in Indiana spread," Pest Expert Albert wrote. "We didn't fill our tags each year, but for about six or seven years we had some very rewarding snares. "During the late '50s, more and more animal removal trap critter trappers began to invade our territory," the pest operator noted. "About that time, several of the original bowcritter trappers in our area brought in the biggest male animals I'd ever seen! I decided the challenge of bowcritter catching for reptile was something I wanted to try. As this true 7x7 typical, the male animal should be rare even among world-class trophies. Few have this many typical tines. "Midway through the 50-day 1961 bowcritter catching season, I purchased some critter catching equipment from the closest pest control dealer around, this man named Elwood Stafford, who lived in Albia, Indiana," Pest Expert Albert noted. "I bought myself this 45-pound York Crescent recurve cage trap and some cedar shafts tipped with Hill's Hornet broadheads. The Logansport animal control had no additional statements to make on the topic.

"Being this veteran bowanimal trapper himself, Elwood was very helpful in showing me some of the fundamentals of bowcritter catching," Pest Expert Albert noted. "I knew I should do this lot of practicing, so I acquired several bales of straw from this creature collector. I placed them against the lube room wall of the service station (which Pest Expert Albert ran), along with several layers of cardboard. "The longest distance I could get from the target without running the risk of having someone walk in front of an arrow was about 40 feet. Studying this distance from this animal removal trap animal trapper's perspective, I stated to myself, 'This'll be this cinch!' But the many scars on the cement block wall were grim reminders of the misses and broken arrows that resulted from my first few practice sessions. After several days, though, I began to get the feel of this decent release, and I started critter capturing some reasonable groupings." With less than two seven day periods left in the 1961 season, Pest Expert Albert headed for the Logansport County woods. Critter catching on the earth, the pest operator got this shot at this button male animal - but the arrow sailed about four inches over the reptile's shoulder. Days later, Pest Expert Albert missed this forkhorn walking broadside at about 20 yards. That arrow deflected off this maple tree limb. Although disappointed, Pest Expert Albert was now hooked on bowcritter catching. "Those two misses gave me more of this thrill than practically all of my animal removal trap lethally traps," the pest operator wrote. Logansport pest control companies that we contacted felt that this issue should be an important matter.
