South Carolina is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Seneca wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Seneca animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Oconee County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Oconee County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Seneca Wildlife Tip:
How to Keep Squirrels Off My Birdfeeder
There are many instances where people have put up a birdfeeder only to find that squirrels are the ones that are eating out of it. You put out some seeds, corn, or other little tidbit for birds in your area to eat, but squirrels wind up getting the lion's share of the food. Plus, they prevent the birds from coming around. Soon all you have is a group squirrels devouring the food in your birdfeeder.
Keeping Them Away
It can be a real challenge to keep squirrels away from a birdfeeder. It starts with the fact that these animals can easily climb across telephone wires, even up holes. If your birdfeeder provides any kind of access to a squirrel, you can be sure they are going to climb up or scale down and get into the birdfeeder. This is why you have to be real smart about how you're going to defeat these animals.
Get a Long, Slick Pole
If your birdfeeder is on a pole, then consider getting a longer one. It should be at least 8 feet high. The pole should also be made of a material that isn't easy for a squirrel to grip. Consider that these are one of a very small, select group of animals that can climb down headfirst. Their pads are made to give them a great grip, so the pole needs to be made of a material that does not allow them to grip well. This will keep them from climbing up your pole.
The pole should also be positioned in a place where it is not easy for the squirrel to access it by climbing across the fence, down from your roof, or from a telephone wire. It should be at least 4 feet away from any other object of similar height, just to ensure that the squirrel cannot work its way onto your birdfeeder.
Under the Eaves of Your Home
Another great location is under the eaves of your home. This is a spot that still gives you fairly easy access to lower the birdfeeder but reduces a squirrel's opportunity to get into it to get the food.
This is also something you need to position carefully. If it is attached close to the edge of the roof, the squirrel will simply climb down your roof, lean over and get into the birdfeeder. You need to push it is far back underneath the eaves as possible. That way, if the squirrel starts to lean out over the roof to try to get to it, it will simply fall off.
It's a great thing that you want to take care of birds. That you want to provide them with food. Now all you have to do is keep the squirrels away. If you position your birdfeeder in one of these two locations, you should have success. You want to make sure it is a small birdfeeder, however. If it is too big and positioned under your eaves all of your work will go for naught.
