Tennessee is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Maryville wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Maryville animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Maryville Wildlife Tip:
WHAT ANIMALS KILL SNAKES?

Snakes can be one of the deadliest animal son earth, especially if they are venomous, so you would think that their high position in the food chain would free them from falling prey to other animals. But that's not the case. While it is true that most animals will run away from a snake, let alone stand up to one or try to hunt it for food, there are actually a surprising number of animals that are up to the task, and some are even specially equipped for it.

The most famous enemy of snakes is the mongoose. This little animal, that greatly resembles a weasel, is greatly fond of eating snakes, so evolution has gifted it with many qualities useful for hunting and killing snakes. It is immune to most snake venoms, has a thick coat that protects it from a snake's piercing fangs, and is incredibly fast and agile. Although some countries allow them as pets, the United States does not allow the importation of Mongooses as pets because they are highly destructive and will kill and eat many other animals too, causing possible damage to a delicate ecosystem. Mongoose urine can sometimes be available on the market, and is used to dissuade snake from approaching buildings, but it is not always effective, as a snake will smell the mongoose, but proceed with caution until it actually sees one.

Hooved animals such as pigs and cows have also been known to kill snakes, but this is due more to a natural reaction of fear than an actual hatred of snakes. A pig may trample a snake to death as a reaction to fear or a desire to protect its young, but these types of animals are not natural snake hunters.

Other animals that may have an affinity for hunting and eating snakes include eagles, hawks, coyotes, owls, foxes, raccoons, and even alligators. Though snakes aren't their main source of food, in the wild, the strongest survive, and animals with sharp teeth, big claws and fast limbs are often brave enough to confront a snake and try to kill it.

It is important to note that, while big dogs and cats may be able to kill a snake, it is very dangerous to expose a pet to a venomous snake bite. These animals may have a hunter's instinct, but as they have been domesticated, they lost long ago their natural abilities and advantages for hunting. A snake will bite a dog or cat without hesitation, and the size of your pet's body will determine how quickly the venom will act. It is very difficult to train a pet to specifically target snakes, and while most animals may attack in self - defense, they will not actively look for a fight with a deadly predator.
