Texas is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Keller wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Keller animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Keller Wildlife Tip:
How do you remove a house mouse stuck in a garbage can or other place?

Mice, like other animals, frequently live off of the waste that people throw away on a daily basis. What you view as garbage can make for the perfect meal for a mouse or other kind of animal, including raccoons, squirrels, possums, and rats.

It is not uncommon to find one of these animals inside your garbage can, whether you are talking about the can at your house or the dumpster at your workplace. These animals see your trash receptacle is the perfect location to find their own buffet of food. The food you throw away every day, even if you do think it is junk, is absolutely appetizing to many different kinds of animals, and this is why it would not be a surprise for you to go and take out your garbage one day to find one of these animals inside your garbage can.

While you may have a clear idea what to do if you found a fox or raccoon rummaging around your garbage, it's a little different story if a mouse was doing it. If you are wanting to know what you would do and how you would remove it if you found a mouse stuck in your garbage can here are some things to consider.

First of all, you may need to do nothing at all. It really depends on how the mouse has gotten into the garbage can in the first place. If somehow or another it has fallen into your large garbage can and has no means to get out, and you may just be better off leaving it alone. Push your garbage receptacle to the end of your driveway on trash day and let the garbage man take care of it for you. When he dumps your can into his truck then the mouse will go with it and your problem is resolved.

However, if the mouse has found a way to get in your garbage can because of a hole or crack in the bottom of the can itself then you may have to take additional kinds of action. If you don't do something to either fix the problem with your can or to replace it, you can be sure that the mouse is going to keep coming in and out of your garbage. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but consider if a mouse is being fed well, that it will likely begin the breeding process and in four or five months you could have 20, 30, or even 40 mice digging into your garbage, scurrying around your property, and maybe even getting into your house. This is why taking action is essential as quickly as possible.

You either need to find some kind of product to seal your container so that the mouse cannot get into it or simply replace the receptacle altogether. Be sure that if you are going to try to fix the container that you do so while the mouse is not in it. This will keep it from attempting to attack or get on you.
