Yes, is the answer. Will a wild animal in the attic have a nest of babies? Yes, she will.

Nine times out of ten (and the odds are probably even more than that), a FEMALE animal will break into your attic. The reason she breaks in is because there is a regular and steady source of food nearby, an abundance of fresh water, and plenty of shelter. It’s warm, you don’t go up there that regularly, so she's left undisturbed for the most part. It offers everything she needs. Most predators are kept out, and her babies have the best shot at a real chance at adult life. Out “in the wild” very few of her babies would actually survive.

Finding one wild animal is actually worse than finding a nest of animals. If you find one lone wild animal, you'll need to find the nest. At least if you have found the nest you know where the source of the problem is. All mothers will return to the nest to feed and care for her young, and when she does, you can have them waiting, in a trap, as bait. She will more than likely walk right into the trap which will, of course, snap shut behind her. You then have an entire family in your trap. Not that you'll want to trap it. This is one of those jobs that is most definitely best left to the professionals.

If you spot a wild animal wandering around in your home, on your roof, or in your back yard, you need to do something about it. You will need to monitor the situation, and work out where the creature is going. If you're lucky, it might be a problem for your neighbors, but that still means that you'll have a problem too. It’s only a matter of time before they work out they have a wild animal living in their home, and then they do they'll evict it. What will the animal do? It'll look for another home, because it has a family to bring up, and that's likely to take the animal right to your door … or attic.
